Redondo Beach is a coastal community seven miles south of Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and just north of the Palos Verdes Peninsula. Redondo Beach is a dynamic ocean side city with two public libraries, a performing arts center, fifteen parks, a recreational and commercial harbor known as King Harbor with a 1,500-slip private port. The Riviera Village area is a great place to walk around, stop into shops and dine at the multitude of dining options. The Esplanade is a walking path by the beach where tourists and locals meander along admiring the large expanse of Pacific Ocean. Living in Redondo Beach offers residents an urban suburban mix feel and most residents own their homes. In addition, the communities of North and South Redondo have highly rated schools. Redondo Beach has been rated as one of the best suburban cities to raise a family and for young professionals in California.
